Official UKFJB Announcement - REVISED ANNOUCEMENT

A meeting was held at the UKFJB Jamboree holiday camp today with the UK Officers and regional representatives from each region.  Ideas were put forward to change the annual UKFJB competitions from 2013.

The proposals put forward in this meeting by the UKFJB officers were to move the World Championships from August bank holiday weekend, to the October Jamboree and host this as one combined competition.  This would still offer bands the choice of a weekend or week bookings, with an aim to have all bands together for one big event at the end of the season. This would mean that the 3 bank holidays in May and August would be free for UK competitions or any other regional competitions.

Your representatives will be in touch to discuss the situation and receive feedback from you all in relation to these proposals.

The UK officers are keen to hear your feedback as this is your movement and these proposals are intended to help move the UKFJB forward and provide bigger and better competitions to showcase the fantastic bands we have in our movement.
